(Ado Ceric)
Ado Ceric is a 31-year-old artist born in Zagreb (Croatia) and currently residing in Los Angeles (USA). Like so many other artists, their first creations were made in watercolors and oil paintings. It is with the discovery of new technologies when it initiates a turn in its illustrious past Digital Arts. His compositions dark and somewhat sinister, are inspired by their own imagination and their dreams, in addition to the influences that had to filmmakers like David Lynch, Stanley Kubrick, Darren Arronofsky, Terry Gilliam, Jean-Pierre Jeunet or Tim Burton . These influences are also marked by literary authors such as JRR Tolkien, Merwyn Peake, Frank Herbert, Edgar Allan Poe, Anne Sexton, William Gibson and Neil Gaiman.
I have always been fascinated by the process of imagination and creativity. Ever since I could remember, I have tried to find a way to truly express myself – to go beyond what mere words can articulate, and to liberate my soul from the limits of what alphabets alone can convey. After all, our emotions – however subtle they may be at times – are far too dynamic and rich to just settle with words… As the old saying goes, «a picture is worth a thousand words». (Ado Ceric)
